Death of Gill Hall

It is with great sadness and regret that we have learned of the death of John Hall's wife Gill, who passed away at home on Friday morning, 8th September.

Whilst Gill was not a member of the JBC, not being a bridge player, she did much to support our club, especially helping with social functions for many years. She also gave much assistance to John when he was an active member of our Committee.

The funeral will take place at 1.00 pm on Thursday, 14th September at Javea Crematorium, followed by a celebration of Gill's life at the Javea School of Bridge and Social Club in the Arenal.

We are sure your thoughts, like ours, are with John and his family at this time.

Javea Bridge Club was established in 1972 and the club premises were purchased in September 2006. Some of our facilities include a well stocked bar, with very reasonable prices and run by volunteers, free WI-FI, available to all players and free car parking close by. All sessions have pre-dealt boards and print outs of the hands with analysis are available to take home. Bridge Pads are used for scoring, they are easy to use and current rankings are displayed on the club's computer screens during play with results available as soon as the tournament ends. If you are looking for a game of bridge while on holiday or searching for a club to join, you have found it, or maybe you are thinking of taking up this fascinating game in which case we offer tuition for beginners and improvers by knowledgeable and experienced teachers. If you are staying in the area for a while you may benefit from joining as a temporary member.
